Dr. Yu Peng, from the team of Prof. JianFang Gui from the Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, raised and studied Black Oranda Goldfish with pleated-skirt tails. In the end, the goldfish laid 42 times in 215 days, with an interval of 5.2 ± 2.0 days and an average of 8900 ± 3300 eggs. The Forbes World Record Agency audit confirmed that the Black Oranda Goldfish in the experiment laid eggs the most times for a goldfish in the world.
